| 2011-12-14 America's Port Drivers support OWS Port shutdowns
The Mainstream Media, working for its corporate masters, endeavors to discredit OWS and cast every possible negative spin on the people's movement. It is vital that we use alternative media to spread the truth. Please share this information with everyone you know.
Write letters to your local papers, citing the facts. (Why does that make a difference? because perception can make reality. If people in your town only read news or letters with one slant, they will have that one perception. But if they are made aware that the truth is different, and this information comes from their own friends and neighbors, as opposed to anonymous chain emails, tv-talking-heads or radio shock jocks, that DOES make a difference. Not with the die-hard wing-nuts. But we're trying to reach the reasonable people.)

Occupy Wall Street - News, Blogs, Videos & other coverage |
OWS is growing and spreading all over the
world. One way you know it is a genuine movement of The People is that the corporate media tried very hard to pretend it did not exist.
At first there was very little press coverage, and much of that
was from non-American sources (Britain's independent Guardian provided
excellent coverage from the beginning, now more alternative media are
covering it here in the USA, while many Corporate Media outlets are
dedicating increasing amounts of time to ridiculing or attacking it
(thus verifying that the OWS movement is the best thing to happen to
this country in many decades!)
We make no claim that the items
linked on this page provide comprehensive coverage. But every item
linked is very good, very informative, and highly recommended by Lake
County citizens who are following OWS closely.

| 2011-11-03 Paul Krugman NYT: Oligarchy, American Style
Corporate Media's most recent idiocy is to circulate "news" that the so-called income disparity is not such a big deal... Krugman's data shows that, if anything, it is WORSE than just 1% gobbling the pie -- more like .01 percent. And these are not "job makers" or "entrepreneurs." They are Corporate CEO Leaches. HERE

(right-wing think-tank American Enterprise Institute toured OWS first hand, and observed of OWStreeters, "These people are conservatives, they just don't know it" Perhaps it is the AEI's preconception of "liberals" that was askew, before? Corporations have spent billions to keep the Conservatives vs. Liberals divide as wide as possible, because when the people are divided, their oppressors flourish. 99 % of us have more in common with each other than we have with the 1%. Hopefully, the real moral of the AEI's positive experience touring OWS is that WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER, we have more in common than we know, and the 1% is screwing us all.)

Alan Grayson defends OWS and the American People
Grayson squashes PJ O'Rourke, who was
trying to ridicule the OWS movement. Nothin' but the facts, ma'am. VIDIO HERE
Listen to
the huge eruption of cheers and applause from the audience when Grayson
makes his points. THAT is the sound that strikes
fear in the hearts of Wall Street.
It is the sound of people UNITED directing their anger at the real CAUSE of our economic problems.
20
percent of this nation's wealth, accumulated over two hundred years,
disappeared in 2008, thanks to the crooks, gamblers and liars of Wall
Street. And not one of the crooks has been held accountable. Instead,
they were rewarded. With OUR money.
People are FINALLY saying what needed to be
said (Grayson was always saying it, but no one wanted to listen to him
then). OWS has already changed the whole tone of national
dialogue.
Why Bill Maher supports OWS video
“They are not the counter-culture, they ARE the culture.
They don’t want
free love, they want paid employment.
They don’t hate capitalism, they hate
whats been done to it.
And they resent the Republican mantra that the market perfectly
rewards the hard working and punishes the lazy, and the poor are just jealous
mooches who want a hand out. Yeah, cause if there’s one group of people who
hate hand outs, its Wall Street.”
